Renewable power encompasses a range of technologies that generate electricity from renewable sources such as sun, wind and water.

Solar photovoltaic or solar PV as it is commonly known is probably the most flexible renewable power technology as it can be deployed almost anywhere in the country with a high degree of operational certainty and with no moving parts, it requires practically no maintenance once installed.

Photovoltaics is the process by which a “semi-conductor” material turns light (“photo”) into a small amount of electricity (“volt”). When the semi-conductor material is formed into a cell and linked to many more cells to form a panel and that panel is linked to other panels the electricity generated can be harnessed by a solar PV system.

A solar PV system consists of a PV array (a number of connected solar photovoltaic panels) that generates electricity, and a dedicated electrical circuit (typically linked into the main building supply) that enables this electricity to be utilised within the building and any surplus exported back to the grid.

What is Solar PV ? Photovoltaics

All of our installations teams have experience and qualifications of the highest industry levels to meet with our exacting standards. This will ensure the best long term return for your investment.

Experienced Installation Teams

Once your solar PV system is installed, you’ll own the system, meaning you can be in control of your own free source of electricity that is exempt from VAT and price increases (RPI).

You won’t just be saving money; you’ll be earning money and helping to save the environment.

You’ll get paid for all of the electricity you’ve produced at the current FIT (Feed-in Tariff) rate of .21p per kWp. These payments are tax-free and linked to the Retail Price Index (RPI). In addition to this, you’ll reduce your electricity bill by up to 50%. This scheme is government backed for 25 years.

Solar panels have no moving parts so they require minimal maintenance and have a long lifespan (Every installation comes with a 25 year guarantee.) They also generate no emissions whatsoever and create no noise.

The Benefits of Solar Panels

The current Feed-In Tariff will pay you .21p for every KWp you produce and use. You will receive an extra 3.1p for 50% of what you produce, irrespective of what you use. This income is guaranteed for 25 years by a Government backed scheme and is linked to the retail price index (RPI)

What can you earn ?

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has introduced a system of feed-in tariffs (FITs) to incentivise small scale (less than 5 Mega Watts), low carbon electricity generation. The FITs scheme went live on 1 April 2010. Through the use of FITs DECC hopes to encourage deployment of additional low carbon electricity generation, particularly by organisations, businesses, communities and

Complete Solar PV systems range in cost between £6,000 and £15,000, depending upon the size and type of system suitable for your roof.

How Much Do Solar Panels Cost ?

individuals who are not traditionally engaged in the electricity market. This “clean energy cash-back” will allow many people to invest in small scale low carbon electricity, in return for a guaranteed payment both for the electricity they generate and export.
